Hello, my name is Richard and welcome to Bimblealong, a website about my hiking and wild camping adventures.
I was introduced to camping and hiking at a young age and I completed my first independent hiking expedition at the age of 14, a 3 day point to point hike across the Yorkshire Dales, wild camping along the way!
My first big adventure was at the age of 21, when me and 2 friends spent 6 months cycle touring and camping across Europe. More recently I have taken up through hiking and have been steadily building up the confidence, ability and experience to undertake long and longer treks. 3 years ago I tackled the West Highland Way(96 Miles) and in April this year I completed the Pennine Way(268 Miles) in 14 days.
I am also a keen coder and when I’m not out adventuring I am often at home recording coding tutorials for my YouTube channel –LearnLearnScratchTutorials
